You know in viture of what you are; and what you are dpends on three factors: What you've inherited, what your surroundings have done to you, and what you've chosen to do with your surroundings and your inheritance. Aldous-Huxley in "The must have a stop" (1944)
Humans are inherently cultural beings. They give shape to their life and their environment, to Identitly and tradition as well as to nature, the basis of their existence - all of this belongs to the human heritage we have collectively developed over generations and millennia.
Agriculture and diet as well as building structures, art, religion and habitual (or traditional) social norms are also part of it. However, not all traditions and not every Identity contributes to life. In recent decades, local cultures and Identities have gone global, and there heritages must now to be shaped: what should be kept, what should be forgotten, what should be reshaped for the future?
